TORONTO - Here is a synopsis of the roster moves by the Toronto Blue Jays so far for 2018.


Josh Donaldson 3B agrees to a 1-year 23M contract and avoids arbitration


Curtis Granderson OF signed a 1 year contract for 5M



San Diego Padres traded  Yangervis Solarte 2B to the Jays for  Edward Olivares CF and  Jared Carkuff RHP


St. Louis Cardinals traded  Aledmys Diaz SS to the Jays for  J.B. Woodman CF

White Sox release Brett Lawrie

CHICAGO - The Chicago White Sox have released infielder Brett Lawrie.

Lawrie has suffered through various and frequent injuries and hasn't played since July/2016.




David Price to miss start with sore elbow

FORT MYERS, Fla - Boston Red Sox starter David Price will miss his first start of spring training with soreness in his elbow. 

It will be examined by two renowned orthopedic surgeons in Indianapolis on Friday.

Results of an initial MRI were inconclusive.

Roy Halladay to enter Canadian Baseball HOF

TORONTO - Roy "Doc' Halladay spent 12 seasons with the Toronto Blue Jays as a starting pitcher.

He has been elected to the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame and will be inducted in June.

J.P. Howell headed to Toronto

TORONTO - Left-handed reliever J.P. Howell has signed a one year contract with the Toronto Blue Jays.

Howell will replace Brett Cecil who left the team as a free agent.
