No place like home for Jose Bautista ?

WASHINGTON - Jose Bautista's camp met with the Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday in what looked like an attempt to resign the slugger.

Bautista hinted through the press during spring training in 2016 that he was interested in signing a multi year (possibly 4-5) deal in the $120M range.

However, his 2016 season was less than average for the slugger as he was on the disabled list several times.

Some owners might interpret this as an indication that Jose's age of 36 might be catching up with him and his days as a defensive player might be numbered. This would him to only American league teams who utilize the designated hitter.

Why the Blue Jays will win the 2017 World Series

TORONTO - The Blue Jays are poised to win it all in 2017.

My prediction is that the starting rotation will exceed 2016's excellent showing.

The rotation includes J.A. Happ, Aaron Sanchez, Marco Estrada, Marcus Stroman, and Fransisco Liriano or Joe Biagini.

J.A. Happ will have another excellent season recorded 15-20 wins and Aaron Sanchez will easily acheive 20 wins. The replacement of R.A. Dickey will add more consistancy to the rotation.

The offence had a down year in 2016, but I predict Josh Donaldson will have a more typical year, hitting 45-50 home-runs. and 100+ RBI.

The addition of Kendrys Morales will more than make up for the loss of Jose Bautista.

The key will be the addition of a legitimate lead off hitter such as Dexter Fowler to the fold and fortifying the middle relief pitchers.
