Jays take game 1 from Dodgers

TORONTO - The Toronto Blue Jays took game 1 of  a 3 game weekend series vs the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Marcus Stroman pitched 7 strong innings giving up 2 earned runs. The win went to Drew Storey as he came on in relief with the game tied in the 8th.

The Jays enjoyed a 2 run home-run from Jose Bautista and 3 run shot off Kevin Pillar's bat to move their season tally to 1 game over .500 to 16-15.

R.A Dickey matches up against Clayton Kersaw in game 2 of 3 at the Rogers Center on Saturday.

Jays crush Rangers

TORONTO - The Toronto Blue Jays flexed their muscles for a 12-2 victory over the Texas Rangers.

J.A. Happ's record goes to 4-0 for the win. Edwin Encarnacion picked up 6 RBI which included a bases clearing double and a 3 run dinger.

The Jays wrapped up a 4 games series with he Rangers, winning 3 of 4.

Marcus Stroman takes the mound tonight as the LA Dodgers head to Toronto for the weekend.

Jays walk it off...AGAIN !

TORONTO - Russell Martin strayed a fly ball into right field with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth to break a 3-3 tie and walk off the Blue Jays for the 2nd game in a row.

Yankees in early season funk

NEW YORK - The Yankees have a lowly .333 winning percentage going into May and received some bad news as Alex Rodriguez is scheduled for an MRI for a possible hamstring injury.

The Jays 'Smoak' the Rangers

TORONTO - The Texas Rangers were in line for the win in the Rogers Center on Rougned Odor's lead-off home-run until Justin Smoak answered with a no out home-run in the bottom of the ninth.

Then with one man on, slammed another  opposite field winning home-run in the bottom of the tenth to walk off the Jays.

The four game home series is now tied with the Rangers one game each.
